Hi there everyone,
This is an email we really didn’t want to have to write, and a decision we’ve found so tough to make.
It’s with such a heavy heart (and legs) that we have to postpone this years ‘Nelson’s Tour de Test Valley’ on Saturday 19th September. The choice of running the live event was taken out of our hands for so many reasons – from your health & safety, the local community, availability of medical support and our incredible volunteers, to the distancing measures and impossible procedures that would have had to have been in place. The event undoubtedly ending up totally unrecognisable to the one we know and love.
We so wanted to run the event this year as we know how important cycling has been to so many of us over lockdown (and for us without a doubt), helping keep our bodies and minds in good shape and crucially putting a beaming smile on our faces.
PLEASE keep riding, below is something to keep you excited for this year still, more info coming very soon!
We are truly sorry but I’m sure you understand. We will return better, stronger and happier next year… with even more chocolate brownies on offer!
So – what about my options on refunds, deferrals etc. There are three simple choices below, with actions needed for each.
1. Of course and like we always said you can have a 100% refund on your 2020 entry.
* EMAIL ‘REFUND PLEASE’ & BANK DETAILS FOR A BACS TRANSFER.
2. You can defer your place and secure entry for 2021 now.
* NO ACTION NEEDED, your entry will be moved across to next year automatically and we’ll send you more information about the event very soon.
3. Donate your 2020 entry fee to CALM.
During Covid-19 CALM’s helpline has answered 34,172 calls since lockdown began. Every penny is gold dust at the moment, £8 answers one call.
* EMAIL ‘DONATE MY ENTRY’ Your entry money will go direct to CALM.
Please email with your choice by WED 15th JULY. If we don’t hear anything you will automatically secure a place for 2021.
We can’t thank you and our loyal sponsors enough for your incredible support as ever.

SO some better and more exciting news.
Right now we are working on a plan and some fun stuff to get as many of you out riding on what should have been the day of the event SATURDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER but all in your local area, using your favourite ever rides.
We will be in touch very soon to give you all the details – there will be some cracking prizes and fun challenges, for you, friends and family to get involved – we would really love it if you would join us. Nelson’s family and us will be out riding on the day too which is a massive treat!
If we can’t ride together on the 19th September, let’s ride for each other instead and Ride For Nelly!
Can’t wait to tell you all the details. Happy riding till then and thank you again for your support.
