Wow, what a day we had hey!
I Hope your sat reading this with a grin on a sun tanned face and feeling chuffed at your heroic endeavours on Saturday. It really was an incredible day and totally made by you guys, not just with your cycling efforts, but with the smiles and stories you bring to the event, to CALM and to the roads of the Test Valley. You were one of nearly 1000 riders wafting through the lanes in memory of Nelson Pratt and raising crucial funds for CALM, we can’t thank you enough – a massive massive high five to you!
There will be a full wrap up story posted and finisher photos in next few days but for now here are your rider times from the day, and a link to the photographers who were out taking pics on course – these photos will be live from Monday tonight.

Early tapping away on the abacus looks like we may have raised £30,000 upwards but we’ll know more over next few days when all pennies get counted.
I know we bang on about it a lot but every penny raised by you guys is so valuable and appreciated. The CALM helpline costs £737,000 a year to run but in 2018 it saved over 675 lives, nearly 2 per day right now. Just shows how crucial it is. The stigma around mental health is changing everyday, people are talking more and asking for help – you guys are helping spread this message and using your legs to help others. Please keep doing it, it works.
If you need to get in touch about anything at all in the meantime just give us a shout.
Keep your eyes peeled for more photos and write up very soon. This will be on the CALM website and event site.

We have to say a MASSIVE thank you to all our amzing partners and sponsors that help make this event happen, without them nothing would be possible. VANS Footwear for all the prizes and making the jerseys possible, our newest sponsor and local company Optibac Probiotics for keeping us healthy, Langdowns DFK Chartered Accountants, Nick Loweth and team at Hungerford Knight Frank, Harry Lodge from Halo Sports and Andy Cook Cycling.
An extra special high five goes to Olympian Ed Clancy and the Vitus Pro Cycling Team – they were a great addition to the ride, cruising round the 50 stoking kids out and cycling fans alike with their smiles and tips… with even a sprint finish for 10 year old Rhys Cooke from Devon! Thanks guys and see you next year!
Plus a massive thanks to the Pratt Family (especially Nelson’s Mum who bakes a 1000 brownies!), the truly incredible flapjack making team, the brilliant Bowtell’s caterers, Medi-Bike and Ricky Hill on his bike, Stockbridge Oesteopathic Practice, Gary Harris Bike Mechanics, Results Base, Xpressofix for the black magic, JC and the Army guys for running the bar and the site, Dale Stiling for another awesome jersey design, Olympic snowboarders Jenny Jones and all the amazing friends and volunteers who make the event happen. An amazing crew of people.
Without our trusty volunteers we wouldn’t have a hope of pulling this event off. From the registration staff, CALM helpers, parking guys, the feed station crews and Rod and Bill on the farm.
Speak soon and rest those legs! You’re all helping us reduce male suicide, the single biggest killer of young men. Be very proud.
See you next year on the 19th September – pop it in the diary now!!
